07-07-07

What were you doing at the 7th second of the 7th minute of the 7th hour on the 7th day of the 7th month of the 7th year of the 21st (3x7=21) century?

I was doing a 6 mile run at Memorial Park and it was full of people. I think we were all trying to get a run in today before it rains...again. NoRO and surrounding neighborhoods were hit hard yesterday afternoon. Everything is wet. The ground can't absorb any additional water.

There was a guy in the jungle gym area yelling to everyone that today is the 07-07-07. Things like that are disturbing to me. LOL I turned up the iPod and continued with my post-run stretching.

I stopped by the office for a quick fix and it was crowded. Who are these people that are only there on the weekends????

Waiting for Mo
Sundance Channel is running continuous coverage of Live Earth. They're currently showing live coverage from Wembley Stadium. Curious minds want to know when Madonna is going to perform? Word on the street is that she will perform a new song! I wonder if she will speak in her fake British accent? Who knew that a girl from The Motor City had a British accent?
As a reminder to my readers, do what you can to recycle. It ain't easy being green but try to do your part.

And here's a tidbit for you runners...take your worn out running shoes to a running store that will either send them to children in Africa who want to run but have to do it barefoot or recycle the soles to use for the rubber cushion at playgrounds.

Belated Birthday Greetings
Yesterday was Tall Bryan's birthday. Tall Bryan used to live in The Bayou City and now resides in The ATL. Hope it was a happy b'day Bryan.

777
I was curious. What is the story about 777?

(from Wikipedia) Triple Seven (or Triple 7, Three Sevens, Three 7s, T7, 777 or 7-7-7) is a common winning line in simple slot machines, as common as 3 gold bars, 3 gold bells or 3 red cherries. Being dealt three 7 cards in Blackjack is almost a sure win, as they would add up to 21. Seven is considered a lucky number in Western culture.

The date of July 7, 2007 (7-7-07), being considered a "lucky day", will mark the celebration of many weddings, including celebrities such as Tony Parker and Eva Longoria.

(I wonder how many people scheduled a flight on a Boeing 777 today?)
