I went to the Starbucks at Randall's on the corner of Westheimer and Shepherd and spotted this chiminea.

Pic(s) Of The Day - 05.14.15 - Boomtown

Texas has a new Buc-ee's and I believe it is the largest one yet. So...I happened to be in Baytown on Thursday and decided to stop at the new Buc-ee's. It is HUGE!

I really never get to visit the location in Waller because I always have The Calvinator with me and I don't like to leave him in the car for too long. So on Thursday I meandered through the aisles and found things that I didn't know existed and needed.
.
And speaking of Baytown, they have a really big Academy store there and it looks like a mega-Kroger is being built. And to add to this, they have a big Starbucks that is really nice. Baytown/Boomtown.

Pic Of The Day - 01.01.15 - And We're Off!

So...if you read yesterday's post, you will recall that my inspiration for this Pic Of The Day project was inspired by Carly Simon. For 2014, I was about 98% successful in documenting the year. And, I'm going to it another shot.

So...this is the first Pic Of The Day for 2015.

This is a pot of jambalaya. It's a tradition that I started a few years ago on the first day of the year; make a pot of jambalaya. I tried making posole but I've never been able to nail the consistency of the broth and the spices like my dad and paternal grandmother could make. I've nailed the jambalaya so in the spirit of stick with what you know, I'm sticking with the jambalaya.

I didn't spend all day in the apartment. I did get out and go to Starbucks, Walmart, HEB and to an afternoon party. I still have plenty of unpacking to do and a bunch of laundry, so guess what I'll be doing this weekend!

Pic Of The Day - 12.06.14 - I'm Not A Hoarder (Part II)

So, once again, I have determined that I am a collector. You see...

When I was a traveling man, I would collect Starbucks mugs from as many cities as was possible. This is only a portion of the collection. The rest were already in the cabinet when I decided to snap this pic.

Pic Of The Day - 11.28.14 - It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

There is a Starbucks in Haltom City/Fort Worth that I visit with The Calvinator when he is checking on his North Texas Crib.  It's a nice sized establishment.  When I walked in, the massive amount of red really caught my attention.  Somebody did a good job with merchandising.

Pic Of The Day - 09.29.14 - National Coffee Day

I didn't realize it until I was on my way to Starbucks, that September 29 was National Coffee Day.  I will say that whether or not if I had knowledge of it, I would have been at Starbucks anyway.

Pic Of The Day - 09.15.14 - Feeling Refreshed

It was one of those days and I needed to be refreshed in the afternoon.

Pic(s) Of The Day - 08.09.14 - Postcard From San Antonio

The Calvinator and I didn't have any plans for Saturday so we just took the day as it happened. Hotel Havana is on the Museum Extension of the San Antonio Riverwalk so it is kind of quiet. We headed north and just strolled.

After a visit to Starbucks, I accidentally found a farmers market at Pearl Brewery. There were a bunch of dogs so I knew he would be welcome. After Pearl, I drove around the city and eventually made our way back to the hotel. It was a hot day in San Antonio so we enjoyed the dog days of summer and slept and relaxed.

Pic Of The Day - 07.15.14 - The Party's Over

I really tried to post this a few days ago but it got hung up on the Blogger app and I ended up deleting the app and so here we go again.

I was at the shopping center on the corner of Montrose & Hawthorne and parked in front of Berryhill because I hate that parking lot and trying to park close the Starbucks (my destination) is just a pain.  I noticed the poles outside of the restaurant were adorned with rainbows in honor of Pride Houston festivities.  Well, that party has been over for awhile but it's still nice to see pops of colour.

Pic Of The Day - 07.13.14 - Put Your Feet Up And Stay Awhile

I was running around on Sunday morning and decided to stop at Starbucks for a beverage.   The temperature was rising so I sat in the shade and watched the world go by.

Pic Of The Day - 06.23.14 - Both Sides Now

I keep looking at clouds and I guess I really don't know them.

I snapped this photo while I was in line at Starbucks on W. Gray.  It was an interesting image with the palm tree and cloud reflecting in the window of the car in front of me.

Pic Of The Day - 03.07.14

Needed to catch up on getting photos posted on Facebook.  I knew that if I went home to do it, I'd fall asleep so I went to Starbucks on Friday night to get it done.

Slow Moving

I don't know if my momentum had lost its speed because I was off on Friday or what but I really had a hard time doing anything on Saturday.  I did make it to Fit but before that I got sucked into watching Monster-In-Law.  It was well after 5:00PM before I even made it to Starbucks so I sat on the patio and watched the sun set.  I think I even used the word cattywampus.

Photo Journal: March 19, 2010

This intersection in Houston has been described as The End Of The World. You can only see two Starbucks. What you can't see is the third one inside Barnes & Noble which is located behind the Starbucks on the left.

The original plan was to shut down the small one (the one on the right) when the big one (on the right with the drive-thru) opened. However, due to customer loyalty and traffic flow the decision was made to keep both of them open. And THEN, the third one opened. OY!

T'nT (This 'n That) for March 22, 2010

I have quite a bit of catching up to do on my photo journal. I had trouble launching Photoshop the other day and just found the cd to reinstall the software. So there will be more photos.
In the meantime...let me share a few things with you.

I'm not a big fan of JLo movies. I thought she was good in Selena and she co-starred really well with Jane Fonda in Monster-In-Law. I think I might have new favorite though...The Back Up Plan and it is because of this guy.
His name is Alex O'Loughlin.

Friend Ernie was recently in New Orleans and went to the Chris Owens Nightclub on Bourbon Street. Yesterday he told me the story about his evening at the club and it was hysterical. He said that Chris did a Lady Gaga song. And wouldn't you know it? Someone has posted Chris's rendition of  Lady Gaga's Poker Face on YouTube. It is TOO funny!  Here it is.

Tomorrow is Free Pastry Day at Starbucks (while supplies last). I figure I spend enough money there they can give me a muffin or something. So if you want a free pastry (while supplies last), click here.

Photo Journal: January 6, 2010

January 6 is The Feast of the Epiphany, Feast of The Three Kings, The 12th Day of Christmas and the beginning of Mardi Gras Season! I had some homemade jambalaya for dinner.

So...here is my entry for January 6. I know. You are thinking something Mardi Gras. Nope. Something from daily routine. Boring. I know.
