¡Feliz Cumpleaños!

Birthday greetings go out to Former Houstonian Now Bostonian Greg (FHNBG). I really don't remember how I met FHNBG. If I had to guess, it was sometime between 1994 and 1996 and I met him through a gaggle of people who no longer live here.

There are SO many stories to tell about FHNBG; all of them good. Like TFMJS, he helped me move a couple of times. In fact, when AttyHou and I were vacating the house near Memorial Park the one chore that we were dreading was packing up the kitchen. You see, that was the one room where our stuff became intermingled. So FHNBG & TFMJS showed up one night, walked into the kitchen, pulled me and AttyHou into the room and took items out of the drawers, cupboards and pantry and would ask, "Who does this belong to?" (The 2nd worst chore was splitting up the wine.)

FHNBG is an Elaine Stritch aficionado. Does that make him a Stritchinista?

FHNBG is also one of the people who surprised me in NYC for my 40th Birthday. It was sort of a payback for the 40th Birthday Party a group of us threw for him. A committee was formed and worked for a couple of months to pull it off. Worlds collided that night at Rice Lofts. People from across the country came to celebrate with FHNBG which is a testament to the good person that he is.

FHNBG is one of the few people that can appreciate my knack for being able to sing a song for just about any occasion. Most of the time he can jump right in and finish the song. Scary isn't it?

There are many more things I could say about FHNBG. He has been a part of my crew for a few marathons. Being a marathoner himself he was always good at anticipating what I might need.

I'm going to re-post a photo. It is the one of us in NYC. (I thought about using the high school photo we used for his 40th Birthday but I know that paybacks are hell so I won't.)

Greg is on the far left.

Happy Birthday Greg!
