BootCampJoey
Enjoy!
P.S. One day I hope to visit Barry's Bootcamp either in Los Angeles or New York!
P.P.S. I'm sure Paddington and The Calvinator would have fun together.

Pic Of The Day - 05.22.14 - And Then This Happened
I'm really proud of the work we do at Legacy. I wouldn't work if I didn't think we were making a difference in the lives of people. Not everyone gets that opportunity. So...
I'm always happy to have the opportunity to show people around and tell our story.
On Thursday, Hakeem Olajuwon and his brother T.J. came to our Montrose location for a meeting. I gave him a tour but it turned into a paparazzi frenzy. I now know what it's like to be chased. Our employees were thrilled to see him but all the buzz interrupted my tour and I went from tour guide to handler.
This photo isn't of me but it is a photo that I snapped of Hakeem The Dream with some of my coworkers.

Solangegate
Here is my contribution to the banter:
And some of favorite memes:
Everyone, including me, is speculation about what really happened. The joint statement that was released said something to the effect that every family has their differences. Well, in my family, we don't beat each other down in an elevator. And to his credit, I admire for Jay-Z for not bitch slapping her.

Pic Of The Day - 05.18.14 - Everything Is Bigger In Texas
...including the armadillos. Seriously! I don't make up this stuff. Look at this armadillo.
It is the largest armadillo I've ever seen and you too can see it if you go to Goode's Armadillo Palace on Kirby Drive in Houston. And while you're there, get some barbecue at Goode Company. It's some of the best in town!

Pic(s) Of The Day - 05.17.14 - Saturday In The Park
Saturday evening I had tickets to see Evita at Theatre Under The Stars. It's been awhile since I've seen the stage production so I was happy to go when it was suggested by Tall Todd. Before the show, we met a couple of friends at Batanga for adult beverages and tapas.
I parked closer to the theatre and walked over to the restaurant. On my way, I cut through Market Square and snapped these pics.
Pic Of The Day - 05.16.14 - My Life On The B List
Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of meeting the legendary Betty Buckley. And then, at the end of April I met another legend...Bette Midler.
You'll recall me posting some photos of the evening that didn't include Bette. Even though the photo below was taken on April 29, 2014, I'm including it as my Pic Of The Day because I didn't receive it until Friday and this is my blog and I can make my own rules. :-)
I've posted the photo on my Facebook page and have received several comments...mostly about my shoes, the fact that we are coordinated and she hanging onto me. Isn't THAT what BFF do? Just askin'.
So who is next on the B list? Hmmm. Maybe I'll bump into Beyonce when she is in H-town?
Pic Of The Day - 05.15.14 - Send In The Clowns
Hyde Park Gallery has just opened a show with works by Jim Seigler. I went to the opening on Thursday night and wasn't sure what to expect.
The collection of work is a variety of watercolor, acrylic, ceramic, ink, etc. and it expands several decades. In his remarks, the artist stated that every piece of art has a story. And guess what? On June 12, 2014, you can hear him speak. The gallery will have an artist talk on June 12.

Pic Of The Day - 05.13.14 - Room With A View
Due to an unfortunate circumstance I was provided with this view of the Houston skyline. It's a great view from Museum Tower.
Pic Of The Day - 05.12.14 - A Room With A View
I saw this display of pineapples at Whole Foods at it made start humming a show tune. Imagine that! And what show tune might that be? A Pineapple For You. If memory correctly serves me, it was a background song in the movie version of Cabaret. Most stage productions will include it.

Pic(s) Of The Day - 05.11.14 - The Crane! The Crane!
There is construction going on on the former site of Café Adobe. It's directly across the street from St. Anne's. It's been bothering me because the crane hovers over Westheimer.

Pic Of The Day - 05.08.14 - Doris Day Parking
It's not very often that I get to park on front of the building, especially after lunch! Just like Doris Day.
Pic Of The Day - 05.07.14 - What A Day
It started off like a normal day of the week. One thing was different and that was taking The Calvinator to doggy daycare for grooming and play time.
And then I received a phone call a bit after 3:00p. The Calvinator was receiving a bath and he collapsed. He was being rushed to the vet.
I arrived at the vet's office and he was soaking we and swaddled in a blanket. At point, while we were waiting to see the vet, I thought he had died.
Blood work was done and he received an ultrasound; fairly normal readings. Could it be something neurological? A stroke? Old age? We may never know.
By the time I got home and got him settled, I was spent! Yes, spent!
It was either going to be a Martini or a foot long Coney, tater tots, and Cherry Limeade.
What did I do?
Pic Of The Day - 05.06.14 - Let The Spinning Wheel Spin
On Tuesday morning I got this wild idea in my head that I wanted to go to spin class. So at lunch I started gathering my things and I couldn't find my shoes. I had just about talked myself out of going when I found them.
I showed up for the 5:30p rhythm ride class with Kelli but it was Brice. Fifteen minutes into class I was sweating like a whore in church. I didn't think I was going to be able to finish class but I did. And then the leg cramps started.
