Pic Of The Day - 06.07.15 - It Looks Like A Margarita

So...on Saturday I purchased these but waited until Sunday night while I was watching The Tony Awards to do my first taste testing. I tried the strawberry flavor and it was OK. I think I was expecting something sweeter.

And speaking of the The Tony Awards...I enjoyed them. I still missed Neil Patrick Harris and Hugh Jackman. To me, the funniest moment of the evening was when Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth were going to introduce Fun Home and she came out as E.T. ("phone home").

I love and hate The Tony's. Love them because I get to see hear and see highlights from shows that I may or may not have heard of. Hate them because it makes me want to live in NYC and be at the theatre all of the time but then I'd have to have a high paying job that allowed me that luxury.

Such is life.

Pic(s) Of The Day - 05.23.14 - Scenes from a Friday evening in Houston

Yes, I admit I can get into a rut. Subway. Whole Foods. So...when I received an invitation to partake in frivolity and adult beverages I decided to join in. I had never been to Little Dipper and I'm glad I visited. Strong drinks. Pretty people. Lots of laugh. Who could ask for anything more.

"I'll Drink To That!

...and one for Mahler." -Ladies Who Lunch

I wouldn't say that I'm a mixologist but I will say that I can be quite creative when it comes to mixing adult beverages. Guess it goes back to my childhood when I learned how to mix a drink for the adults. Sort of like Patrick in Auntie Mame.

So this is what I have come up with but I have yet to give it a name.

(Smirnoff Orange serves as a good substitute.)

So anywho. Get creative and help me come up with a name for my new drink.

Jumbo Jack with cheese no tomato

I'm willing to bet that Ryan Barry doesn't go through the drive-thru at Jack-In-The-Box after a night of over indulging in adult libations.

Seriously though. I can't even imagine how much work it takes to look get his body in shape. Yes, he is a model so his livelihood depends on having an awesome body. And yes, genetics plays a part in this.

I have to wonder though...does he ever allow himself to go to Cyclone Anaya's and have a frozen Margarita swirled with frozen Sangria, a basket of chips with queso, some enchiladas, a taco, a tamale, rice & beans? Looking at those abs, I think not.

In other news...
My penance continued today. I met runnerOne this morning at 545A for a quick jaunt around the park. It was perky nipple weather this morning but it was a good run.

Penance

OK. Because last night I over indulged on adult beverages.

And because last night I over indulged on delicious nibbly things.

And because last night on my way home from the Christmas Party with a detour to Mo Mong I stopped at Jack-In-The-Box and ordered a Jumbo Jack with cheese (no tomato), large order of curly fries with a large Diet Coke.

Today around noon I went to the park and ran 4.1 miles and then later in the day I went to the gym and did a weight workout.

Today all I have had to drink is an Iced Grande Sugar-free Gingerbread non-fat Latte and a bunch of water.

Ramblings Of A Caffeinated Mind 7.4

I'm in a funky mood today. I'm not really hungover but I know that the adult beverages I consumed at a Christmas Party last night were a bit strong. Oh wait...I mixed the 2nd AND 3rd drinks. It was good to catch up with folks that I hadn't seen in awhile.

Could be that I hadn't eaten a full meal all day yesterday after spinning in the morning. The weather sucked yesterday morning so I figured spinning was better than not running or better than going back to bed. My metabolism was fired up all day yesterday but I was running around doing stuff so I scarfed down a sandwich (with no chips or dessert).

The people at the office were working my nerves this morning. All of these temps that want a cubicle and my extra chair. This one man asked me to move my stuff so that he could have my extra chair. So I moved my stuff. He expected ME to lift the chair over the table. He took the chair and walked off. I yelled out, "You're welcome" because he never said thank you.

Went to LeFittes after being at the office and I think that made me feel worse.

Then I tried to do some Christmas shopping and couldn't get anyone to help me so I left without purchasing anything.

Went to another establishment to get a gift certificate and that was easy. However, while I was there (and I was the only customer in the store) a guy walked in with one arm hidden behind his back. A gun? A knife? Ugh no. It was a long stem rose and a big hug for the guy that was working at the store.

I should have said, "How nice." or "How sweet." Instead, I left and thought Bah Humbug!

In case you can't tell I have stuff bothering me and I don't want to disclose it on this blog. So this mood that I'm in is clouding everything.

I'm going to another party this afternoon. I think I might need a hair of the dog and I know there will be libations there. Then I'll go to 500p Mass and then go to another party for another hair of the dog.

Speaking of dogs...

Yesterday I took The Calvinator to see Santa. What an ordeal.

The good thing about it is that Margo was there and got to meet Calvin.

The bad thing is that we had to wait in line forever and once we got to visit with Santa, Calvin kept running toward the door. He wiggled and squirmed.

I guess he was afraid that Santa was going to ask if he had been naughty or nice and he would have to be honest.

If you look at the photo closely you can see my hand on the right side squishing Calvin into Santa's lap and trying to hold him in place. OY!
