It happened again. It hasn't happened in three years. A fraction of an inch of ice brought Houston to it's knees on Friday. We knew it was coming but there's very little you can do about it.
I grew up in Ft. Worth so I know ice baby. I also know that a thin coating of ice on some of these mega flyover bridges where highways interchange are asking for trouble. In a case like yesterday, it's always best just to stay home.
The surface roads were fine but it's the ice that you can't see that causes the problems. And yes, all the Yankees were making fun of us but give us a break, this hasn't happened in three years. And karma is a bitch!
All you haters who were laughing at us, well just remember, we're prepared for the heat. We just crank down that air conditioning (as early as February) and start preparing for the long, hot summer.
