Am I A Target?

I just can't quit you.
On Friday, I received a new debit card.  Hmmm.  Obviously my financial institution knows that I shop on a frequent basis at Target.  Either they are being proactive or my debit card has been hacked.

Two days ago CNN reported that up to 110 million customers may have had their personal information hacked in the breach.  Target has apologized and is offering free credit monitoring.  While that is all well and good, who is going to reimburse me for the time I am now going to spend updating accounts that do an auto-debit from my card?

Can I send Target a bill for my time?  Yep, I didn't think so.

And yes, in case you're wondering, I'm still shopping there.  In the words of George W. Bush, "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."(—Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002)
