In this Jan. 10, 2005 file photo, Broadway and television actress Bea Arthur performs during "A Celebration of Cy Coleman" at the Majestic theatre in New York. Family spokesman Dan Watt says the 86-year-old Arthur died at home early Saturday, April 25, 2009. He says Arthur had cancer, but declined to give further details.

I don't remember seeing Maude too often (parents most likely put the kabosh on watching), but Golden Girls gave me so many laughs. A couple of years ago some friends and I went to see Bea Arthurs one woman show in NYC and she was marvelous. She will be remembered fondly.
She lived her life to the fullest and always said she no regrets-if we could all be so lucky. MBC
