Do Not Be Afraid

source: CNN
"On this night, let us share the joy of the Gospel. God loves us. He so loves us that he gave us his son to be our brother, to be light in our darkness. To us the Lord repeats, 'Do not be afraid,' ... And I, too, repeat, do not be afraid,'" the Pope said.

"There are both bright and dark moments, lights and shadows," Francis said in his homily. "If our heart is closed, if we are dominated by pride, deceit, self-seeking, then darkness falls within us and around us."

It's (almost) A Wrap

The holiday weekend is coming to an end. There are a few things that have been making the rounds and I think two of them highlight how the United States is changing. NPR and several other news sources reported on the future diversity of the United States. The future is here now and it is here in Houston. You can read the story here.

The United States has been called a melting pot. I'm not sure if that is what our founders had in mind but that is how we evolved and it's a good thing.

Another thing that has been making the rounds is the song All-American Boy by Steve Grand. How do you define the All-American Boy or the All-American Girl. This is what Steve has to say about it.
