What If You Put On The Super Bowl...

...and one team forgot to show up?

That's pretty much what happened yesterday for Super Bowl 48. The first play of the game Seattle Seahawks scored a safety because of huge error.  It really messed with the Denver Broncos minds and they were never in the game.  The final score was 43 - 8.  I became bored and spent most of my time on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram watching the feeds.

The Calvinator must of known it was going to be a snoozer because just before kickoff, he did this:
and stayed that way through most of the game.

FYI: Yesterday's score was not the biggest blowout.  The final score of Super Bowl 24 was 55 - 10 and guess who lost?  The Denver Broncos.  Are we seeing a pattern here?

I wasn't too impressed with the commercials.  There were some good ones: Radio Shack; Cheerios; T-Mobile; Budweiser; H&M; and Coca-Cola.  What I didn't expect was the hateful response to the Cheerios commercial AND the Coca-Cola commercial.  As far as we think we have come, we still have a long way to go.

If you're interested in showing how beautiful America really is and that the majority of us come from immigrants (whether they came freely or not), send your selfie to Coca-Cola and maybe you'll end up in Times Square!

And one last thing...
Another commercial promoted U2's Invisible.  If you download it before 11:59p.m. today(not sure what time zone), Bank of America will donate $1.  HURRY!

T-Mobile sucks!

I am pissed off! There. I said it!

Sunday night my personal Blackberry stopped working. The track ball which is the part of the phone that gives it its functionality stopped working. It only scrolls sideways. So, I can't read text messages. And my phone is stuck on silent so I have no idea if someone calls.

I called T-Mobile on Monday and was told that the replacement device would be shipped on Monday. I was told to call back in a couple of days and get a UPS tracking number. So I did and I was told that it had shipped and to go to UPS and put in my cell number and that would be my tracking number.

So, while I was on the phone I did and it didn't work. The customer service rep. tried and couldn't get it to work. She said the tracking system must be down but she assured me the device had been shipped and to check back with UPS. And I did.

And it didn't work. So I called back this morning and spoke with someone else and was told the device still hasn't left the warehouse and she has no idea when it will. OK, why was I told it HAD shipped?

They offered me a $20 plastic replacement phone as an interim solution. Uh, why not an interim Blackberry? Once you've had a Blackberry you never go back!

I told the last person I spoke with that they need to retrain their customer service reps. I told her that the worse thing to do is set high expectations and give out bad information to customers.

T-Mobile, you suck!

What A Nice Surprise

The other day I received a letter from T-Mobile thanking me for being in the top 5% of longtime customers. Some may say that I am a T Mobile customer because of the T. Actually, I was first an Aerial customer and somewhere along the way they got purchased by someone who was then purchased by T-Mobile.

So anywho...I read the letter and it said that I needed to register by 12/24/08 to get a Free Companion Flight. What I have to do is buy a ticket and then I get a companion ticket. I wonder how many friends will kiss up to me between now and February 2010. I put this task on my To Do List for 12/23/08.

So... tonight I get the mail and there is another letter from T Mobile and it says something about thank you on the envelope and I figure it is a reminder to register so I don't open it.

So... I decide to go to T Mobile's website and register for the airline ticket but I can't find the link that I need. So... I open the letter I received today and it has something stuck to it. I'm a bit perplexed because it looks like a credit card or something.

So... I look at it a bit closer and it is a pre-loaded $50 debit card! And once again they are thanking me for being in the top 5% of longtime customers. So... I think there has got to be a catch and I am trying to read the fine print but I can't find anything that says this is too good to be true.

So... I call the toll-free number to see if there really is $50 loaded onto the card and sure enough there is!!!! What's funny is that just this morning I thought, "Wouldn't it be nice to just get an extra fifty bucks to spend on Christmas presents or on myself?" Heck. If I had known something like this was going to happen I would have wished for an extra $1000 delivered by Hugh Jackman.

So... if anyone from T-Mobile is reading this, "THANK YOU!" It really was a nice surprise.
