Heart of Fashion - Back In Black Masquerade Ball

Saturday night, Vivian Wise & Heart of Fashion hosted the Back In Black Masquerade Ball at Rich's Houston. A portion of the proceeds benefited HRC Houston and Texas Legacy Foundation. As with all things Vivian, it was an event to remember. Limited number of tickets. Dress in black. Wear a mask. Private entrance. Limited access. Password to get in. Surprise at midnight.

I had not been to Rich's Houston since a major overhaul of the club was completed in 2016. I must say that it is REALLY nice! Good job to everyone in involved.

So, combine a Heart of Fashion event with a redone club and it can only be a great evening! All different types of people were in attendance in various black apparel. At midnight, a Lady Gaga impersonator performed, models appeared and Vivian spoke about how were are all the same once we take off the mask.

The final night of Heart of Fashion found me back at Million Air. It was a spectacular evening.

Carmen Dell'Orefice walked the runway in a Peter Cohen dress. And, the Ungaro Spring Collection was amazing.

The second night of Heart Of Fashion took place at Million Air. The highlight of the evening were the models with the jewels from Valobra.

When a legend, who carries herself with grace, and is stunning to look at walks into the room, you know it. And such was the case with Carmen Dell'Orefice on the opening night of Heart of Fashion.

Carmen received the Heart of Fashion Texas Legacy Award on opening night. Everywhere she went, there was a buzz around her. When she came out on stage to receive the award from Ralph Rucci, she thanked her parents and said, "I made it."

Every now and then I have one of those non-stop days. It started off with the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Health Summit and Business Expo at the Hilton Americas. That evening I was at the launch party for Heart of Fashion which will take place in November. Then, it was off to China Garden for EPAH's dinner meeting and election of officers. At the meeting I was elected Vice President. What a day!
