Pic(s) Of The Day - 06.24.14 - Scenes From A Day In NOLA Part I

I headed out to New Orleans for a conference.  Once again, my obsession with clouds revved up.  I was looking forward to the conference but also to the opportunity to eat at some good restaurants.

Dinner was at Commander's Palace.  Our table captain was Howard and he and his team provided great service.  The highlight of the meal was the bread pudding soufflé.

Above the clouds flying from Houston Hobby to New Orleans.

Pic Of The Day - 06.23.14 - Both Sides Now

I keep looking at clouds and I guess I really don't know them.

I snapped this photo while I was in line at Starbucks on W. Gray.  It was an interesting image with the palm tree and cloud reflecting in the window of the car in front of me.

Pic Of The Day - 06.22.14 - Blew Out My Flip Flop

Like that would ever happen with this pair of flip flops!

I guess you can make a piñata to represent anything.  I saw this at the HEB on Bunker Hill.  I venture out that way every now and then just because.

Pic Of The Day - 06.21.14 - Red Ox Bar & Grill

I have a bunch of posts to catch up on so you may see a flurry of posts today.  You will see that I've been busy, busy, busy.  So let's get started with this mural.
I'm noticing that more and more, murals are popping up in Houston.  This one is at Red Ox Bar & Grill and pays homage to Houston and Houston's north side.

The two women who owned Bocado's have opened a new place in the neighborhood where they grew up.  So...I ventured up there with a couple of friends.  It was a great turnout for their grand opening which was also a benefit for Barrio Dogs.  We stayed for a little and then headed over to Brasserie 19 for a long, casual dinner out on the patio.

Pic Of The Day - 06.20.14 - Rainbow On The Green

It was a nice time at Discovery Green for Rainbow On The Green.  The weather cooled off.  We had VIP seats with an open bar.  What more could you ask for?  And it isn't a party unless there is a disco ball.

Pic Of The Day - 06.19.14 - Graduation

One of the non-clinical programs we offer at Legacy is an adult literacy program.  It's a program we inherited when we acquired our Southwest location.  I had never been to one of our graduations so I ventured outside the loop to San Mateo Church.  It was a nice ceremony.  I took some photos and since I like cake, here's a cake photo.

Pic Of The Day - 06.18.14 - Disco Elephant

If I had room for this in my living room (and several thousand dollars), I'd buy this!  I saw this at Marshall's on West Gray and fell in love with it.
