As I See It - 01.24.16 - Brother Sun, Sister Moon

It's all about timing. The sun was rising in the east and the moon was still in the western sky when I snapped this photo.

And that is exactly what happened. I awakened earlier than normal and caught this view of the moon.

This was the view of the western sky just around 7:00AM on Christmas. I was with The Calvinator at Haltom Road Park. The moon was very bright.

When we rounded the track I caught this view of the eastern sky.

So...this is how my day started, a bright moon and Ruben Galvan from KPRC-Channel 2 dressed as human piñata.

It was an unusual sunrise. The moon could still be seen as the sunrise was reflecting in the buildings of Greenway Plaza.

Saturday night welcomed back White Linen Night. Houses throughout The Heights celebrated the evening.

Moon Over Beaumont

Yesterday I headed east on I-10 with some co-workers to Beaumont.  On the drive over, they were talking about the full moon from the previous night and yesterday morning.

After a nice meal, a couple of glasses of wine and great conversation at Suga's, it was time to head back to Houston.  Before we left the restaurant, I stepped out onto the deck and noticed the bright moon.
