...at a party.

Person #1 (talking to a group): "...my wife works for ___..."

Person #2 to Person #3: "OK. Did you hear that guy? He says he has a wife."
Person #3 to Person #2: "I thought he said he had a girlfriend."
Person #4: "Maybe he meant girlfriend (with a snap)?
Person #2: "No. He said wife! I heard him say his wife works for ___. So, I'm just wondering, where's the wedding ring? I mean is that common behavior for married men to take off their wedding rings at parties because it happened on The Real Housewives of New York City and two of the husbands got busted."
Person #3: (sizing up Person #1) "I bet that wedding ring is in the closet." (laughter from persons 2, 3 & 4)
